Mabinogi : Heroes Hits Japan

The popular Korean MMORPG expands its border to Japan! Known as “Vindictus” in North America and Europe, Mabinogi : Heroes is an instanced dungeon based MMORPG with a wide variety of character customization, great graphics and fun gameplay!

Mabinogi : Heroes is set for release in quater four this year and will be published under Nexon Japan. I may try playing the Japanese version just to see if Nexon Japan makes any difference between this version and the North American version. I have no plans of playing it seriously, however.

If you wish to see more about the Japanese release of the game, you can read up on what 4Gamer has to say about it here.

Woo! Japan! Vindictus was announced by Nexon Japan when the day I posted the news on my blog which was… June 21, less than two months ago. Nexon Europe announced Vindictus around the time that news was posted on my blog, on August 18…, 2010. Two days away from a year ago… Vindictus Europe was originally scheduled for release in Q4 2010 but has been delayed to Q4 2011. If Japan really wants to make some people mad, get Nexon Japan to launch Vindictus before Nexon Europe. That would be hilarious (no offense to any Europeans).

If there isn’t an IP ban for New Zealand, I will most likely be checking this out. I wanted to play it when North America introduced it and perhaps I might get a second chance :]

There likely will be an IP block because of the peer-to-peer system. You should just plat the North American service.

I don’t want to get into the business of finding a proxy server to change my IP address to an American one.

If it doesn’t have a IP block, then I’ll give it a go. If it does, oh well – I still have Dragon Nest.
