Is Nexon Japan planning a big summer update?

 
 
Nexon Japan spent 13 hours on a rather uninspiring game update today. I’m not sure why it took them 13 hours to implement Pink Zakum without even fixing major Phantom issues. It’s pretty disappointing. However, in other news, it seems Nexon Japan might be planning another big summer update. Here are the event notes posted on the official page after the game went live :

We will introduce the events that will start as of the version 2.14 update.
 
 
■Pink Zakum Event
　Time Frame : From the end of the maintenance on Wednesday, June 20th, 2012 until Tuesday, July 10th, 2012 at 23:59.
 
　Players above the level of 30 will receive an invitation quest to defeat Pink Zakum up to three times per day.
　If you can defeat Pink Zakum, you can get special reward items and buffs.
 
 
■Gaga’s New Hobby Event
　Time Frame : Wednesday, June 27th, 2012, starting at 0:00 until Tuesday, July 10th, 2012 at 23:59.
 
　Characters above the level of 13 can talk to the NPC “Gaga” to receive the quest to help Gaga with his new hobby once a day.
　When you complete the quest, you will receive a document that may give you hints about the summer update.
　You can choose one vocabulary at a time from the document, so let’s collect all of the following vocabularies! “5W1H (When, Where, Who, What, Why, How)”
 
 
　If you get at least one “5W1H,” you can present the recreated document to Gaga to get items!
 
　※To create a document, you must collect at least one “5W1H.”
　　If you make the document once, you will lose the “5W1H” vocabulary.
　　You can possess up to 14 “5W1H” items at maximum.
 
 
■Hairstyle/Cosmetics Event
 
　Time Frame : From the end of the maintenance on Wednesday, June 20th, 2012 until the beginning of the maintenance on Wednesday, July 11th.
 
　When you talk to either the NPC “Royal Beautician” or the NPC “Dr. Tori” in Henesys or the Maple Plaza, you can change your hairstyle or cosmetics to time-limited ones.
　※In order to change your hairstyle or cosmetics, you must purchase either a “Summer Royal Cosmetic Surgery Ticket” or a “Summer Royal Hair Cupon” from the Cash Shop.

 
 
 
The part that interests me the most is, “When you complete the quest, you will receive a document that may give you hints about the summer update.” I can’ think of an instance in the past where there was a pending update that would have quests giving out hints to what would be implemented. They’ve never been secretive about upcoming updates like this in the past, from my memory, at least. They’ve done class or major update preparation events before, but those were labeled pretty loudly in the quest names or data. I suppose it could be something simple and disappointing, like the Mihile update, but I hope this means more exclusive content.
 
 
The next update seems to be on July 11th, since that’s when all of these events end, so I suppose we’ll find out on that date. Here’s hoping something good comes of this!
